Born and raised in Japan, Akiko Fukuda is a New York-based illustrator. After 13 years of holding fashion designer positions in the New York Fashion Industry, she started afresh with Illustration in 2017. 
Akiko was aware of the possibility of using digital tools to expand a range of expression in her drawings, bringing hand sketches into digital files and adding color, dimensional effects, and depth by using digital brushwork and layering. Through her work, she wants to share expressions of beauty, purity, and the allure of the female form. Akiko hopes to reconnect women with the grace and innocence they felt as children.
